Mielno is a large coastal village. It lies on a spit between the sea and the large Jamno Lake. The biggest attraction in Mielno is its wide and clean sandy beach. Access to the sea and air rich in iodine encourage to take walks and baths. Along the seaside there is a 3-km-long promenade with a wonderful view at the sea. Access to Jamno, one of the biggest inshore lakes in Poland, gives the opportunity to do water sports, such as yachting, windsurfing, kayaking. Mielno lies approximately 14 kilometres north-west of Koszalin, cultural, economic and social centre of Middle Pomerania, wich is popularly called "The Green City".
