By far the best way to start surfing or to improve your ability is to get instruction from skilled and experienced coaches. It is amazing how simple it is to get riding waves when provided with appropriate instruction, practical knowledge and the right equipment. When you’re up on that surfboard riding your first wave, it will be one of the most exhilarating experiences you’ll ever have!

The sessions are tailored to meet the needs and abilities of each group with all safety equipment being provided. You must be over 10 years old and able to swim 50 meters unaided in order to take part.

The large surfboard style paddleboard creates a stable platform for you to stand on and the extra long canoe paddle makes it easy for you to motor around in only a few minutes. 

Stand Up Paddleboarding is less challenging than surfing which makes it an even more accessible for your family, friends and great as a large group activity.

We are the longest-running surf school in Widemouth Bay, and we pride ourselves on our safety standards. Throughout our fun-filled sessions, you'll be supplied with the tuition and knowledge from our experienced Surf coaches, to help you progress to your best abilities.

Widemouth Bay itself is also a beautiful, blue-flag beach, with a large car park, and a great cafe. This beach is also lifeguarded within the year by the RNLI.

The sandy beach also allows great conditions for beginners to learn, along with some more challenging peaks for intermediates to practice further.

I have spent lots of time in Port Isaac, including listening to the Fisherman's Friends singing sea shanties with a beer in hand. I will take you on a walking tour of the village, including the locations used in filming both "Doc Martin" and the Fisherman's Friends movies.

See Doc Martin's surgery, Mrs. Tishall's pharmacy, Louisa's school and cottage, Bert's restaurant, and all the other key locations. Visit the village pub used in both shows - maybe even stop for lunch? Stand on the Platt where the shanties are sung.

We also visit the tiny coves at Port Quin and Port Gaverne, which also feature as filming locations.

The tour can be extended to a full day on request to include visits to places such as Tintagel, Boscastle or Bodmin Moor. There would be an additional charge to extend - please feel free to ask us about this.

Take a leisurely 2 hour trip with Glenys, a beautifully restored vintage English Taxi, through the breath-taking North Cornish countryside and view the spectacular coastline.

Let us worry about the driving whilst you soak up the spectacular scenery as we amble along narrow lanes and through tiny hamlets along the North Cornish coast.

Eventually we turn away from the coast and head toward Bodmin Moor.

We explore this awesome landscape for a while before stopping in a hidden glade. Here the only sounds are the gurgling of the river, the breeze in the trees and the boiling of the kettle.

Freshly made and served in bone China, you can choose from a range of teas supplied by the award winning Westcountry Tea Co, or coffee if you prefer.

Fresh Cornish splits and scones are served with butter, a choice of home made preserves and clotted cream.

Lizard Point: A Self-Guided Photography Tour

West Cornwall has a rich and captivating history going back over 4,500 years to the Bronze Age. 

On this self-guided audio tour, you’ll follow in the footsteps of some of its earliest inhabitants. While you journey across the landscape, you’ll hear about what drove them to settle, farm and build here, and what their day-to-day lives would have looked like.

Our tour starts at Portheras, an impressive round barrow where the remains of cremated dead were laid, and ends at the celebrated stone circle, Tregeseal East.
