Nestled into the side of the Cangshan Mountains, the Hilton Dali Resort & Spa enjoys panoramic views of the mountains and the crystal clear Erhai Lake. The hotel is just 10 minutes from Dali's central business and government district, five minutes from Dali University and 30 minutes? drive from Dali Airport. The ancient city of Dali is just a short drive north. The Cangshan Cableway is five minutes' drive from the hotel (or about ten minutes by bicycle). Take the cableway to the top of the mountain range, and walk along the cloud path to enjoy beautiful views of the tea plantations and forests. The Dali area is home to some significant ancient Buddhist temples, all within an easy bike or car ride of the resort. The Erhai lake valley is remarkably fertile and clean, and residents have established a patchwork of small farms planting rice and a huge variety of vegetables.
